We are off and running with Unreal 4.23 (hanging on before moving to 4.24 as many plugins and assets catch up.
In our second experience, we are exploring interesting and imaginative ways to craft fun and surprising interaction that is also intuitive, aesthetically pleasing, and functional.
Most recently we took one of the standard VR templates Pickup cubes, assigned a Pineapple Mesh/Material/Texture to it and then created an event that turns on or off bad weather when it is picked up or let go – in other words a weather pineapple! Here is the blueprint:
We are using an asset developed by Monolag called Weather System, available on the Unreal Engine Asset Store.
